The Open continues

It is easy to get consumed in daily competition amongst ourselves and fellow classmates.  The Open provides us a glimpse into our neighboring boxes and let’s us see how we stack up doing the exact same WODs to the exact same specifications as hundreds of thousands of CrossFitters around the world!  Seriously fun.  I hope you are all enjoying the challenge that it provides and embracing the light that the Open has the tendency to shed on our training.

Love body weight exercises, but hate the barbell?  Haven’t quite mastered the jump rope?  Almost, so close, on a good day got a muscle up?  This is a chance to look back at your training and see what you’ve done right, how far you have come since last year, and what you can improve upon.  While it is always more fun to work on things you are good at, have you taken the time to work on your weaknesses too?  Become a more well rounded athlete.  Fill your holes.  CrossFit, after all, makes a sport out of not specializing.

Keep kicking butt!! Two more weeks to go!!  And, in All Heart tradition, we will have a potluck lunch on the 26th immediately following the final Open WOD.  Hope to see you all there.
